Surdez súbita e paralisia facial periférica após infeção por SARS-CoV-2
Resumen
A surdez súbita e paralisia facial periférica são duas urgências otorrinolaringológicas comumente associadas a infeções virais. Os autores apresentam um relato de paralisia facial periférica precedida por surdez súbita ipsilateral após infeção por SARS-CoV-2. Foram realizadas investigação clínica, laboratorial e imagiológica para excluir outra etiologia. A imagem de Ressonância Magnética evidencia neurite do VII e VIII pares. O SARS-CoV-2 pode ser uma causa de sinais neurológicos periféricos como primeira e única manifestação da doença e a sua suspeita e despiste pode evitar contágios, assim como dirigir a terapêutica.
